One of the areas of activities performed by project experts and consultants was testing of mechanisms of business internationalisation as applied to Kaliningrad companies, and processing of business inquiries by foreign companies.

Organisation of business-to-business meetings between Icelandic and Kaliningrad companies
In March 2008 Kaliningrad Regional Economic Development Agency received a request from the Trade Council of Iceland to assist in the organisation of business-to-business meetings between Icelandic and Kaliningrad companies within the framework of the visit of Icelandic business circles in Kaliningrad.
Kaliningrad RDA experts prepared a list of Kaliningrad companies of relevant business profiles (Annex 1 – list of companies) which then received invitations to meetings with interested companies from Iceland (Annex 2 – invitation sample). By the results of the invitation mailing the schedule of meetings was elaborated (Annex 3 – schedule of meetings).
The meetings were held in “Fishery Exchange” building of the “Fishery Village” ethnographic and crafts business centre (8, Octyabrskaya Str., Kaliningrad).
The meetings allowed representatives of Kaliningrad and Icelandic companies to discuss possible business cooperation and exchange contact informarion.

Search of potential business partners
At the exhibition in Poznan (May 27-30, 2008) visited within the framework of a project trade mission, Executive Director of OOO “Spline” had meetings with representatives of companies of relevant profile which resulted in business cooperation proposals.
“STS”, another project participant, is currently in active search of potential partners abroad. ITPD consultants are involved n these activities.
